Joystick problems, need help

Featured Replies

Hi all,I have a LOGITEC WINGMAN FORCE 3D that generally works fine when the aircraft is airborne, my problems start when taxiing or landing as I have absolutely no control via the joystick of the front nose wheel of the aircraft which usually turns by itself 90 degrees from the expected direccion.More info:This joystick has a USB connection, my OS is Windows XP Professional with DirectX9 (I think), downloaded the latest drives recommended by Logitech. The pc is a AMD ATHLON, 1.00 GHz, 512 MB RAMI have done multiples calibrations and nothing has effect on this problem with this rebel nose wheel.Help please, generally it works well whilst in flight but it's really frustrating not being able to control the plane on take off and landing ending most of the time on the grass after a perfect (or near) approach. Thanks in anticipation.Manale

Hi Manale, did you try to increase or decrease the 'Null Zones'? Maybe toggling 'Autorudder' helps? Good luck and kind regards Jaap

Hi Jaap, thanks for your response. I tryed everything, including to adjust up and down the Null Zones, but nothing seem to work.I think that tomorrow Saturday I will "operate"on it, some kind of open heart surgery, and if it doesn't survive, then I will have a reason to buy a new an good one.By the way, I thought of buying a CH joystick, any opinion ?Cheers, and thank you again.Manale

Hello Manale, believe it or not but I have the same stick and the same problem. Basically the rudder axis seems to be broken and the stick sends spikes to the sim causing erratic behavior.I ended up setting the null zone to 100% and the sensitivity to 0% effectively disabling the axis. I know use my CH rudder paddles only.Cheers,Alex
