September 20, 200520 yr Hi all,I have a LOGITEC WINGMAN FORCE 3D that generally works fine when the aircraft is airborne, my problems start when taxiing or landing as I have absolutely no control via the joystick of the front nose wheel of the aircraft which usually turns by itself 90 degrees from the expected direccion.More info:This joystick has a USB connection, my OS is Windows XP Professional with DirectX9 (I think), downloaded the latest drives recommended by Logitech. The pc is a AMD ATHLON, 1.00 GHz, 512 MB RAMI have done multiples calibrations and nothing has effect on this problem with this rebel nose wheel.Help please, generally it works well whilst in flight but it's really frustrating not being able to control the plane on take off and landing ending most of the time on the grass after a perfect (or near) approach. Thanks in anticipation.Manale
September 21, 200520 yr I bought a Wingman Force3D when my Microsoft Force Feedback Pro stick got sloppy. The problems you are experiencing is exactly why I searched ebay and picked up a nice FF2. I hated trying to taxi aircraft with the ailerons. I do agree, though. In the air, it's a fine stick. I just wish I had saved myself the $50 I spent at ebay for it, and used that for the $75 I spent for the FF2.By the way, I (finally) found the FF Driver Version 4.0 for my FF2 the other day, and I'm really enjoying the extra calibration controls I have now. The FF2 rocks.Good luck, Manale!EDIT: By the way, Manale, to check your DirectX version, go to Start, Run, and type in "dxdiag", without the quotes of course. You'll get the full list of DirectX features, and the version, as well as if there are any problems with it.-JeremyThe Ozark DogfighterHappy Flying!
