September 24, 200520 yr Hello!First let me apologise my bad english. I hope you can understand my problem even with my very bad grammar, because I don't know whoat to do. But one thing after another... I just installed the FS 2004 on my brand new PC Konfig:AMD FX-552GB RAMNvidia GTX7800Audigy 2NForce4 Chipset320 GB Raid HDI was really exited because I played on this pc for 3 month and every game had a perfomance boost past my imagination. But my mood changed fast after I started the simulation. I tried nearly every possible Detail and AI Konfig in the game. But even with EVERYHING on the min slider positon and at 800x600 I got a frame rate about 0,2-1 fps !!! No joke! After the first frustration I startet to find the source of this problem. 1. I installed new graphic drivers (77.72 77.76 78.01 and 81.26) no better results.2. I checked the konfig in the win Graphic menu. AA, AF and the other settings were tried in several configurations... 3. I updated my Audigy 2 drivers to the latest version.4. I updatet my Nforce Driver to the latest version.5. I run dxdiag - no errors found. 6. I installed the FS 2004 update In fact there has been no improvement of the framerate. It is much slower as on my old 1,2 GHZ Machine.. And now I don't know what else can I do. I really hope that one of you have some other tips I don't mentioned about. Thank you a lot for your help!
September 25, 200520 yr Hi!Yes I have! But it seems I found the problem. I forget to disable my Joystick (non FF) while I was searching for the problem. After I did this everything runs fine... Not that I would understand this but now I have my average 40 fps and I am happy. Thank you for your help!
September 25, 200520 yr Hi there,This is indeed strange. You should be getting a pretty fluid sim (I have a similar system to yours). On thing to consider is that AA should be turned of within the sim! Also I find that you shouldn't set the mip mapping slider to minimum as that can slow your sim down to a slide show. Set it to a medium level to troubleshoot. You say that other games run well? A good way to check your PC's performance and identify possible issues is to benchmark your PC. I use 3d mark and Sisoft Sandra to do that. You can get those here:http://www.futuremark.com/download/ and http://www.sisoftware.net/index.html?dir=&...buy&langx=en&a=both come in free versions, but beware: 3d mark is a pretty hefty download. You should be seeing around 7000 points in 3d mark 2005. The nice thing about Sandra is that it runs extensive tests and shows you where your systems excels and falls short and gives you a lot of details on how to fix that.Generally you should make sure that you have no unknown devices in your hardware manager (look for yellow ! signs).Hope I could help you a little :)Cheers,Alex
September 25, 200520 yr disregard my post then...you fixed it while I was still typing ;)Enjoy your sim!
