September 27, 200520 yr Hi guy's,My system:Mother Board- MSI K7N2 Delta, with Nvidia N Force Ultra 400 Chipset.Prossesor- AMD Athlon XP 2600 Socket A.Video Card- ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256 mb. AGP.1 gb. DDR Ram.I am thinking about upgrading to a AMD athlon XP 3200, and possibly my video card to a ATI Radeon X850.I am looking for Tech advice on wheather or not I will see much of a performance change by doing this.Any help will be appreciated! __________________
September 30, 200520 yr Well, I can just give you a general response based on my experience with FS. Think of it this way:1. To boost your framerate performance get the fastest CPU in your budget.2. To boost your texture loading/refresh rate get between 1-2gig of the fastest ram in your budget.3. To boost the overall "look" sharpness, AA, smoothness, get the best graphics card you can afford.The overall game performance will result in what you acquire for those thress above... you will be pretty much as good as your weakest link in that chain... give or take. That's what I based my upgrade on. Sorry I can't be specific with your equipment as I do not have the same.
