corrupted texture flashing.... overheating?

Featured Replies

I'm trying to pinpoint my problems with texture flashing once in a while, sometimes enough corruption to make me quit the game because I can't see. This usually happens when looking at a big layer of clouds or a big city. I upgraded by video card fan and CPU fan, got a new case, and temperatures are more normal than they were, my CPU is running hot though, but I guess the FX-55 just does that.Could my problem be bad RAM? I have 1 stick of crucial memory, DDR4000, but they don't make my stick anymore... any help would be appreciated!!

I have a radeon x850xt pe and I have intermittent polygon flashing since I turned on the Adaptive Anti-Aliasing. Not sure what card you have though.Paul

Same card for me... but I seem to remember this flashing happening before turning on adaptive anti-aliasing. Maybe I fixed the overheating problem from before, but now the flashes are back with adaptive AA turned on? What drivers do you use? I got them with the latest ATI and latest Omega drivers

I keep current with omega's and catalyst drivers swapping back and forth as each new one comes out and the polygon flashing is still there when aaa is turned on. Only happens for me around larger airports, and I've never seen it without aaa on. I just keep trying new drivers hoping one day that it will be fixed. Meantime, I enjoy the scenery with aaa so much, I keep it on anyway.Paul
