Nvidia GeForce 6200 Problem (pic)

Featured Replies

Hey guys,New to this forum here. I've been using FS for many years and finally decided to join. I ran into a big problem with a newly acquired video card:Kaser GeForce 6200 128MB AGPBefore I start with the FS9 problem, let me just add that this video card works perfectly with everything but FS9 -- with games such as Doom 3 and F.E.A.R., which are much more demanding with graphics.About FS9, the aircraft, virtual cockpit, sky, and cloud textures all look great, but the ground textures look HORRIBLE even on the highest of setttings.Have a look:0694ze.jpgIn case the image doesn't show correctly, right-click it. The link will work, it is on Imageshack. As you can see, the VC, and cloud textures look just fine. But the ground looks just awful -- much worse than my retired FX5200.I've tried changing just about every visual setting there is in the game, with no luck on fixing this texture problem.Has anyone else here had the same kind of problem? What did you do to fix it? I very much appreciate any help that is provided. Thanks very much for reading.John

Dunno...Kinda looks like the filtering needs to be turned on. "hardware menu". Is bilinear filtering on?MK

Set the following in card options, NOT simAA 4xAnisotropic Filtering 4xThen, in the sim, make sure the graphics options are set to TRIlinear filtering and AA is checked OFF.That should do for a start and you can tweak from there.Allcott
