November 13, 200520 yr Hello all,Since I built my computer (almost three years ago) I've had one BIG problem, a very un-stable flightsim. First fs2002 and later fs2004. As you all know this really kills the thrill and joy of fs. I've tried most things, including changing ram, video card and fresh installs, only to find the same result....After reading a thread on this forum, which recommended using the free program SiSandra to analyse the system, I found that my RAM apperantly was in the third slot and not in the first one. After switching the RAM to the first slot I tried a flight, and voila. It worked. I might add I have been trying to fly the same flight for a week now only to find my self to look at the Blue Screen of Death or a CTD or just simply a frozen system.Other games such as GTA have been working quite allright, but suffering from some sudden CTD:s now and then.Since this is the only thing I have altered on my system, no other updates have been made, I can only presume the RAM-memory has been my "Waterloo" these past three years. If you are suffering form similar problems it might be a good idea to check the RAM.Happy landings allBest regard,Jimmy SMy specs:ASUS A7V8XAMD XP 2700+512 MB DDR-RAMGainward GeForce-6600, 256MBWindows XP Pro SP2FS 9.1
