No Force Feedback - Saitek Cyborg

Featured Replies

This is a 'hot chestnut' of a question. i've had a Saitek Cyborg 3D Force joystick for about 2 years, never been a problem; force feedback has been very good. But now, once I start fs9, it flops about like an uncooked sausage, or similar :) - I've tried the 'latest' drivers circa 2003, but nothing I try improves the situation. Problem seemed to start after I had a new SATA HD fitted; which required a Format and reinstall of fs9. I would not have thought that operation was too serious, but it's ruined my flight sim experience.Question is, is there a cure, or does it mean a new Joystick. A last thought, if I switch on the joystick before starting fs9, the FF is there, as soon as I start fs9, limp as a wet cod.any ideas, anyone?KenSomerset, England

I would a try a reinstall of the drivers for the joystick and then set default spring to always on and at a value of about 75%

Hello Kurt,Thanks for your reply. I have reinstalled the drivers about 6 times, also downloaded Updates from the Saitek Website; none of it with any effect whatever. you mentioned the default spring - that's a new one to me, could you tell me where to look for it? That may well cure the problem.Ken

There is one certainty I can add; the problem lays within fs9 itself; if I turn on the joystick before booting fs9 the is force feedback - as soon as I boot up fs9 the joystick falls to one side?Ken

Problem now solved. It seems that the drivers I used did not fully represent the calibration page, I've now sorted that, and set the default spring and the value you mentioned. Thank you for your help, much appreciated.Ken
