New Creative Audigy Drivers Out- Improvement for me.

Featured Replies

Out Jan 06 2006- 2.08.004 CREATIVE.COM/I have a Audigy 2zs and now can run hardware acceleration at full without getting disortion and crackles. Also noticed a slight fps boost and smoothness. Maybe the card is now taking some of the workload off the proccesor?Anyways, thought about putting this in Hardware but I would have never looked there and wanted to share this and hopefully will benfit some.

I realize that hardware is not visited as often, but placing hardware related posts in the main MSFS forum because it gets the most traffic defeats the entire purpose of organizing the forums. People won't use the other forums until veteran users support our efforts to keep these topics and forums organized. -John

For Soundblaster Live! users these drivers can also be used, but not the control panel set.Take the downloaded .exe and use WinZip or WinRar to EXTRACT the .exe to a file of your choice. Once you've done that you will find a series of sub-folders, including one named `drivers`. Open this folderand ruin the setup.exe you find there. This will install the drivers into the Live! card even though it is not officially recognised.Good improvement in sound quality with these, but not with FS2004, unfortunately! I really hope FSX deals with the sound quality issue and allows separate channels for ATC and aircraft sounds so you can route ATC through headphones.Allcott
