FS2004 System Requirements

Featured Replies

My PC is a PIII 1.2 Ghz that I have recently upgraded so that I now have 1GB RAM and a 4x AGP 256MB GeForce 6200 video card and I have added Windows XP. I had been playing FS2000 on my machine before the upgrade and I would like to know if my new system specs are enough to run FS2004 smoothly with the graphics settings turned up. If not turned all the way up, then what level of detail do you think I will be able to achieve? I really want FS2004, but I don't want it to be choppy. Thanks in advance for your advice!

I run FS2004 on a PIII 500 and it does just fine at high graphics seetings, unless I'm very close to a major city/airport. But I've read countless stories of woe from guys with 3 GHz or faster processors having the same problems I do at major airports. So I'd go for it! I just reduce graphics settings to low when I'm ready to land and even then it is much better visually than FS2000.
