May 20, 200620 yr Hi,This will be moved to the Hardware Forum, so don't be shocked to find it there! At this point you may be better to wait until FSX and Vista are released. Then the new CPUs will be out, as will the DX10 graphics cards. If not, then a high end AMD CPU and some high powered graphics cards to drive those monitors would be called for. Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
May 21, 200620 yr Yep, I'm waiting until FSX, Vista and DX10 are out. If you must jump in sooner, you probably should go for a 64 bit CPU, the best graphics card you can afford, at least 450 watt power supply and a minimum 1 GB ram. Beyond that, because hardware changes so quickly, few folks are really qualified to help you select components that will work efficiently and happily together. I suggest you get onto a specialist website, perhaps an online store that sells PC components, and have a look at some recommended top end systems. You can then work back, finding out which components will work together. When you have a system you might be happy with, get it checked by a specialist before you part with your money. Many people rush in, get some great parts but then find they don't have a big enough power supply, or there is some other component that is not compatible. There are lot's of traps for new players, so do your research beforehand if you don't have access to advice you can trust.Hope this helps (but I know it probably doesn't)!Cheers,Noel. 11th Gen i9-11900K @ 3.5GHz | nVidia GeForce RTX 3080 | Corsair 64 GB RAM | Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB | Asus 27" RoG G-Sync Track IR5 | Thrustmaster Warthog | CH Products Pedals
