May 23, 200620 yr Try deleting the FS9.cfg and restart the sim so the cfg can be rebuilt around your newly installed hardware. Also check your scenery.cfg and make sure it's not corrupted -- Areas/Layers match and are in numerical sequence; not duplicated.JimYoung
May 26, 200620 yr my FS crashes and/or suddely aborts when1. something overheats (namely my GPU)2. there is a scenery error. i would delete the scenery.cfg and go from there3. if i have render to texture disabled with certain addons.. no idea why.4. sim gets bogged down (can't process it all).
May 26, 200620 yr "2. there is a scenery error. i would delete the scenery.cfg and go from there"You should never delete your scenery.cfg. FS9 does not rebuild the scenery.cfg like it does for the FS9.cfg. Once you delete the scenery.cfg, you'll likely have to reinstall FS9 or copy the file from your FS9 CD and rebuild it with new scenery you have added. You should just open your scenery.cfg and check it for possible corruption such as Areas/Layers not matching or not in numerical sequence. Do NOT delete it.Best regards,JimYoung
May 27, 200620 yr Hi,Move your FS9.cfg file out and allow FS04 to build a new one. That may get rid of #1.Download and reinstall DirectX from MS. That may get rid of #2.You already have a good suggestion for #3.Changing MBs without reinstalling your OS is a hit and miss proposition. If drivers change too much then you have 2 sets installed.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
