Where did this ring come from?

Featured Replies

Caught my foot on the yoke cable. The yoke fell on the floor. Said, "OH %@!*&^#!." Picked it up, sat it gently on table. Went away. Came back, picked up the yoke. A plastic ring, about the size and thickness of a female household hose-connector washer fell from the yoke onto the floor. Said, "OH %@!*&^#!" again, several times. On one side of ring, the inside edge looks jagged, like it broke off of a bigger piece. It is grey like the yoke's grey throttle controller handles on top of the yoke. Looks like the same kind of plastic as handles. Same outside diameter as black through-shaft of yoke. Can't find where this ring came from. Shaking the yoke, a little clicking inside, but I think that was true when new. Yoke still works well as far as I can tell. Would someone look closely at the outside of your yoke for a grey ring, ~7/8" outside diameter, ~5/8" inside diameter x 1/16" thick? If you see it, let me know where it is and maybe what it appears to do. I'm assuming that if it came from inside, I can't go in and look without voiding the warrantee, per sticker on bottom of yoke. If someone has looked inside and knows of this "ring", would you let me know that, too? ThanksRobp.s., anybody have a fix for the funky clamps on the yoke? I have problems with them working off the table over time. Not loosening, just slowly backing off of table until there I am invariably in a final when the yoke pops off the table into my hands... fun!

I have no clue where that ring might come from... maybe you could post a picture of it?As far as the clamps go, I don't know if you need to remove the yoke regularly otherwise you might drill a hole in the clamp feet and screw the thing into the table... just an idea :)

Hi,I have similiar rings where the yoke shaft enter the case on the front and exits the case on the back.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter
