Dual Monitor Mode with PCI Express

Featured Replies

I am using an Asus 8AN PCI express motherboard with an Nvidia 7900GT PCI express video card in dual monitor mode. Whenver I try to put a 2D window (thrust, GPS, COM, etc.) onto the second monitor, flight simulator crashes. I am using flight simulator 2004 in windows XP. I have tried reloading the flight simulator, reloading the operating system, upgrade video drivers to current, upgrade motherboard drivers and bios to current, change dual monitor mode, change refresh rates and resolution. No luck. Any ideasBJ

I am having the exact same problem, I hope you get an answer

Whne you drag the thrust panel or whatver to the second monitor, put the mouse back on the main monitor. do yu se you mouse flickering back and forth between the arown and hour glass really quick?

No. It works fine in Windows mode, its just when switched to full screen it locks up

Have you tried span mode, I used it for several months and worked flawlessly. You can drag and resize everything without ever going to windowed mode and the virtual cockpit and spot modes span both monitors without any distortion. Would still be using it except I got something better: Matrox Triple Head To Go and a third monitor. Highly recommended and yes it runs just fine with one 7 series Nvidea card (I Have 7900GTX) at 3840 x 1024 res. With this set up you not only can fly with an expansive VC but if you are a 2d panel fan can drag and resize your panels as you see fit in fullscreen mode across all three monitors.Regards, Carlos
