Intel's Conroe duo

Featured Replies

Anybody have any idea as to when Intel will release the new Conroe duo to the marketplace? I'm thinking about a new computer and don't have any clue as to when it 'might' be released to the public for purchase. Also, anybody know a good brand of computer to buy with a good graphic's card to run the PMDG's?Regards, jack

Either July 23rd or July 24th.

Just a quick note...I believe "Conroe" has been dropped...The name you should look for is "Core2 Duo"...This will be their Performance line(Formerly Conroe)..Not to be confused with "Core Duo"...Which is apparently a more economical line...I also believe Core Duo is avaliable now??I'm not an Intel Guru by any means...I am an AMD Guy!!! However I have been trying to keep my eye on this stuff also...So please correct me if I'm wrong..Have Fun!!

Correction to my post above..1) The correct spelling is "Core 2 Duo"(aka:Conroe)...2) The "Core Duo" Processors appear to be mobile processors(ie: for laptops)...They are on the market now...I find it easy to confuse the two..Have Fun!!

Thanks for the info guys...The 'Core 2 Duo' sounds a little redundant to say the least, but if it's as good as some of the articles that I have read, I'll hold out for the 'Core 2 Duo'.Thanks again, jack
