Looking for good joystick and a question about it.

Featured Replies

hello everyone, newbie here and i'm Looking for a good joystick to play with flight simulator. I was thinking about getting a joystick with force feed back but I

Horses for courses, but personally I would avoid force feedback like the plague. I happily used a Logitech Wingman for many years and finally persuaded myself that the FF one would be increased fun: NOT. It killed the feel for the handling of the aircraft and annoyed the heck out of me within hours. What's more, not all aircraft are configured for it anyway, and some that are are badly configured, and when the thing ain't engaged your joystick feels like a pencil in jelly. My own advice, therefore, is to get a regular Wingman or equivalent (I think my current one is called a Wingman Extreme 3D or something, cost $30 or so) and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. Many prefer the MS stick, I don't like it at all myself.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/avsimlogo.jpg[/a]

My only advice is to be certain that the handle twists (left/right), otherwise you'll have to lock autorudder in aircraft realism setting. And that would really suck!:)
