October 10, 200619 yr I have a geforce 7600gs 256mb ddr2. yeah I know no big deal. I know it's sli capable or ready if you will. I am confused with sli. I need an sli motherboard to utilize this?? I have a velocity micro 6400 with 2 2.13 ghz processors. How do I know if I can use this sli and what is this sli?? I am totally confused about this and the future cards. I see the 7950gx2 is sli...I want to upgrade to the extreme but I might hold off until vista/dx10 come out. Any help would be greatly appreciated...I know I asked a bunch of different random questions. Feel free to answer any that you may know.....much appreciated...-Dave
October 10, 200619 yr Hi Dave,Not to divert from your questions, but before you wrap up alot of time on SLI you should read about some FS users SLI experiences.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=354996&page=2Regards,Greg
October 10, 200619 yr And if you still want to know what SLI is, you could check out this:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scalable_Link_InterfaceRegards,http://www.bremmekamp.com/img/misc/avsim.jpg
October 10, 200619 yr The solution to finding out whether you have an SLI motherboard is to contact Velocity Micro themselves - as they custom-make computers around general specifications it's impossible to tell you whether its SLI-capable unless you know the motherboard in use. But assuming you have an Intel dual core E6400 I would think it quite likely. But it's not going to do a whole lot of good for FSX as best we can tell.Allcott
