Dash8 in "aircraft" folder...but not showing up in airc

Hello all, the new and improved prowler here. Once again, let me apologize to everyone here...none of you deserved the treatment I gave you. Now, I've DL'd and installed the FS2002 Regional IFR Adventure - Eastern 126 (By CMAA - Custom Made ATC Adventures). For some reason my Dash8 (which is in my "aircraft" directory) is not loading and is not available in the sim. I'm using XP home, other aircraft seem to show up fine (although I haven't yet checked EVERY aircraft in the "aircraft" folder against what will show up in the sim's aircraft list...this is the first one with a problem I have run across). Anyone know why this should happen? Thanks. prowler

The Dash 8 is one of those aircraft that are AI only. It wasn't meant to be flown in FS2002. You can, however; make it flyable with a download from avsim library. Do a search there using key words like dash 8 flyable or words to that effect and you'll find the download. Or just start with the oldest files under fs2k2 as it was among the first files to be uploaded. Same with the piper.

Darn...didn't think of that. I've DL'd the Quantas Dash8 and it loads in the adventure just fine. Thanks!
