November 18, 200619 yr I have been experiencing fairly low frame rates while taxiing on the ground.I have generaly kept my res to 1024/768 at 32bit and the Scenery thresh hold to the reccomend settings. The card is an Nvidia 7600GS with 256mb of RAM. The machine is a dell xps 400/2800mhz machine with 2gb of RAM installed. I am not cofident that more physical RAM is the thing to do off the bat to improve the hardware situation. Would shelling out the cash for a faster GPU improve the situation or would even upgrading the CPUs speed be the way to go - or would that be a waste of money? I am geeting around 10 to 20 frames depending on altitude and complexity of the scenery loaded. FS9 works well 18 20 is common and i am satisfied with that concidering.TThanksZach Bender K7LTF
November 18, 200619 yr Two reasons:1: Force feedback joystick. Turn FF off and see if that improves things2: Onboard sound card? More sounds on the ground, so turn off the sound and see of the fps increasesAllcott
