November 23, 200619 yr Forgive me if this doesn't fall under hardware and is software related. In FSX I left the AA box unchecked. I forgot to set the AA on the card driver so for the last months I've been running quite happily at FPS 20 with liitle or no stutters (had to use all tweeks under the sun to get to this stage though!) A couple of days ago I set the AA on the driver and now FSX stutters horribly I've had to disable AA again. Would updating the driver solve this problem? I have the stock driver that came with the card (Nvidea 6200ENTC)back in January, or could there be another issue?
November 23, 200619 yr Nope, you have simply discovered the limits of your low-end card.AA is quite a processor-intensive process. Suggest you turn it off and fly without at the smooth rates you had before. YOu could easily try updating drivers, as they always have the option to rollback to the previous version if you don't like what you see. Also, System Restore lets you `try before buy` on any new driver without too much risk. There have been some new drivers with specific FSX benefits in the last couple of months - the 91.47'sAllcott
