My PC for FSX

Featured Replies

HiI just discovered FS2004 and really like it. However, believing that newer should be better, I consider getting FSX.I know there are a lot of topics on FSX and PC performances, but I want to know if possible to get satisfactory playing on a machine similar to mine:Pentium 4 3Ghz1GB RAM DDR400Galaxy GForce 7600 GS 256MbIs it possible to play on this system with at least medium resolution? I just don't want to spend all the money and getting worse graphic than with FS2004.Thanks in advance.

Well, I have a slightly higher spec system than yours and I find I need to turn off all autogen and traffic to get reasonable frame rates. FSX looks pretty cool when flying in the bush at altitude, but in cities or down low with the settings I need to get frame rates above 20, FSX is not as good as FS9. At least that's my opinion, for what it is worth.Cheers,Noel.

I have a slightly slower system than you in every respect, and I love FSX and am locked at 22 fps. That's with bloom ON. Granted, I don't have autogen on, but the higher res. photo textures more than make up for it.

thank you, guys. I think I will get the game.
