The boys at Microsoft Games Escalation Support Team came to the rescue after a few days of scratching their heads and this is what they came up with. Please try the steps below to resolve the issue with Flight Simulator X and your side-by-side configuration error,Step 1: Download and Install Visual C++Please click on the link below,http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualc/download- Click on the Download option under Download and install- Click on save and save it to your desktop- Run the file from the desktop and restart the computer- Try Flight Simulator XWorked like a charm and now I am flying the friendly skies. :-bigangel Enjoy...
February 17, 200719 yr While looking at add/remove programs I noticed the C++ runtime executable. I didn't specify it. I think it may have downloaded with MS update? Perhaps thats why I had no problems installing FSX. That is outside of typing in a wrong key letter.
