May 10, 200719 yr Finally got my Trackir4. An absolutely amazing product, however I am having an issue with my CH joystick and throttle. I am trying to reprogram the hotkeys from Trackir4 to my CH joystick and throttle. In particular I am trying to assign the PAUSE, PRECISION, and CENTER hotkeys. What I've noticed is that certain buttons/hats can be assigned for these hotkeys while others refuse to take the assigned hotkey. Does anyone know the reason for this and how it can be remedied? Thank you.
May 10, 200719 yr I am trying to assign using the Trackir software, the latest version of course. The software does show that something is assigned. It will say something like JOYSTICK4 or JOYSTICK2 for a particular hotkey. However, once I'm in FSX, some of the assigned buttons do not work while others do. Thank you.
May 10, 200719 yr >It could be, because they are assigned to something else>within FSX itself.I did make sure to test those buttons before I assigned anything to them and from what I saw it did not seem like they were assigned to anything. How can I positively verify that a particular button is free to be assigned a hotkey? Thank you.
May 10, 200719 yr Quick crib: Go to the assignment menu, and simply assign some function to the button on the stick. It will tell you if it already has an assignment. Choose to replace the assignment, so now our button is assigned solely to that function. Now delete that function from the same menu. Button is now free for assignment using TRackIR.Simple!Allcott
