May 24, 200719 yr The larger cache adds 200 point to the AMD rating score, if I recall. A 2.2GHz with 512k is rated at 3500, and a 2.2GHZ with 1MB is rated at 3700. So its a slight improvement in CPU power, though cache is good as it scales perfectly with your overclock. Cache is not going to effect disk reads, just CPU performance, and only about a 5% peformance increase at that.
