June 19, 200718 yr HiI have CH yoke coming tomorrow to replace my USB CH Fighterstick as my main control in non-military flight simulators. I also own the USB CH Pro Throttle (similar to the F-16 throttle). Does anyone know if I can continue to use that throttle in FSX along with the yoke (I know the yoke has a throttle but the Pro Throttle is pretty darned good)? I can't see why not but I find the CH drivers can have a bit of a fit if you set things up other than how they like them and I'm not in the mood for yet another driver scrub and install.ThanksAndrew
June 19, 200718 yr Should not be a problem!I use a CH Yoke with a Go-Flight throttle quadrant. I simply unassigned the levers on the CH Yoke.RegardsJim
June 19, 200718 yr Excellent - thank you :-) Very nice setup btw! (though no TrackIR?)How do you find the Saitek rudder pedals? They have them in a store near me here in Western Australia and obviously can't sell them as they are shelved away at the back which means they will be open to considerable negotiation on the price :-)Andrew
June 19, 200718 yr Saitek pedals are good..rudder easy to program and they do the job. Nice toe brakes too (they are a bit of a pain to calibrate at first...but once set up are great).TrackIR is OK for loners but not much use for professional training when you want to get more than one person around the setup (ie Instructor and Student). Nothing more annoying than the view constantly changing when your own head is not moving!! I have one but it lives at the back of the cupboard with it's other loser friend the force-feedback joystick.......... Sits back and waits for the Flame War!RegardsJim
June 19, 200718 yr Very interesting - thanks for the response. May see what the trusty shopkeep is prepared to take for it.S'ok on the TrackIR ... understood (and I have plenty of force feedback sticks lying around the house, gathering dust and jealously eyeing my CH equipment). When people come for a gawp at my setup I don't use the TrackIR either, mainly to make sure they look at the sim instead of point and laugh at me.Andrew
