Windows XP OEM

Featured Replies

Hi!Don't know if this is the right forum for my query, if it isn't, I'm sorry.I'm getting a new PC shortly and I've ordered a new OEM version of Windows XP with it. Now the price list I selected it from did not say that it included SP2 (compulsory to run FSX of course). If it doesn't, will I be able, with this version of XP, to download and install SP2? Or is that impossible because of the OEM tag on the product key? Thanks for any replies! :D:DMatti

All OEM XP I've received in the last year have included SP2, I'd be very surprised if it is NOT SP2. However, you will be able to download SP2 from http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/default.mspxRegardsJim

Thanks a lot Jim, that's reassuring. I wasn't very sure about it, seeing as there were versions on the list saying SP2 included, that were more expensive and all (but come to think of it, they were actually PRO editions). Wouldn't want to spend $100 on an OS that wasn't upgradable. Thanks again!Matti
