7 monitors

Featured Replies

Hi,I am using an AMD 5600+ dual coreVista 64QTY 2 8800gts4 gig ramFSX7 monitors-3 across, 3 consoles and 1 overheadlooking at using a Matrox quad head to run the 2d panelsI want to use pilot, engine instruments, co pilot, over head and comms and throttles on this array. They are also touchscreens.Does anybody know of good aircraft that can run on 4-7 monitors.I have tried the Level D 767 but you can't get both pilot and co pilot screens running at the same time.so far the Q300 or ATR -72 look best but if there are any others please let me know.Preferably glass cockpits,

looking at using a Matrox quad head to run the 2d panelsHow many panels are you currently running and at what resolutions?Do you have 7 panels already running? If so how are they currently configured? You'd have to be running 2 Matrox TH2Gos if you only have 2 graphics cards installed. It's difficult to tell from your post whether you have 7 running or whether that is your aspiration.Which Matrox Quad unit are you planning on using:The Extio F1400 or the RG-400SL ? Or are you planning on replacing your 8800GTS with Matrox QID?Can you supply more details on how your hardware is or will be setup..RegardsJim

Jim,Its kind of complicated. My work has borrowed an AMD 2600 computer with 7 graphics cards in it running XP and 7 keytec monitors made by NEC, I think. Our current computer is a 5600+ Vista 64 thing and has 2 8800 gts PCIe cards and it is hooked up to a 32" overhead touchscreen, a 24" Dell insty panel, a 22" dell "outside view and a 22" dell centre console.I have tried an Nvidia NVS 400 quad but they aren't supported by Vista. I even put in an MX400 PCI but again, it is legacy. Matrox don't seem to support Vista, according to their website.I eventually want to run our computer on the borrowed monitor array.

Ok, that makes sense now I couldn't see how you were running 7 monitors from 2x8800. I've tried 2xTHGo on the same PC with 2 graphics card..one from each card..with limited success. Matrox only support one TH2Go at a time!! RegardsJim
