Someone with a 3870

Would someone with an Ati 3870 test something for me. Try FSX in the windowed mode and set fps to fixed 30. Check the core clocks. Then check clocks in unlimited fps. I have been having all kinds of problems with the 2D and 3D clocks switching back and forth. If I lock the fps on 30 and run in windowed mode (I run FSC on 2nd monitor)the 3d clocks never kick in. They stay at 300 core. If I set frames to unlimited - they still switch back and forth between 2d and 3d which cause massive blurries and studders. Ati says this is a problem in my system. I borrowed a friends Nvidia 8800 gts and clocks worked 3d in both windowed and fullscreen. I even have problems with FS9 running in windowed mode. I run FSNAV on 2nd monitor and at least I can run FS9 in full screen. If I run in windowed it jumps back and forth also. Wish I could lock 2d core at 777 like the 3d but so far there is no program that you can do this.Thank-You,Ted:-(
