Use both, CH Yoke and a joystick, is it possible in FSX?

Featured Replies

I really enjoy flying around in FSX with the CH Yoke but it's severly limited in buttons so the keyboard is a must but in my situation the keyboard needs to sit off to the side where it's not convienient to push buttons unless I pause the game and turn to the right to do so.I have both a CH yoke and a USB Logitech 3d extreme joystick and Im wondering if it's possible to use both at the same time in FSX. If so, how is that accomplished? Thanks,

It shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure that only on controller (probably the yoke) is configured for the X and Y axes to control ailerons and elevator. Delete the X and Y axes on the joystick and just set up the buttons.R-

But when I choose the controller in FSX, it only allows me to choose one controller. Do I ignore that and choose the CH Yoke, then with certain actions in the game, program them to use the joysticks buttons?

>But when I choose the controller in FSX, it only allows me to choose one controller. Are you sure? It has been a while since I've done it but IIRC, going to Options>Settings>Controls shows you one contreller but its name is in a drop down box. If you click on the drop arrow, then you see all of the controllers that are plugged in and usable. You select them and configure them one by one. Check it out and see if I'm right.R-
