January 4, 200818 yr Hi.I'm planning to build a small sim to run FSX using the TripleHead2go with 3 x LCDs plus my existing main CRT monitor. Unfortunately once I buy the nice displays and TH2GO, there's not a great deal of money available for the PC upgrade. It runs FS9 ok I suppose but FSX is a different matter. I'm looking for suggestions on what will give me the biggest bang for my buck for FSX use without going out all and investing in a new system. My current specs are as follows:CPU: AMD Athlon XP3000+ , 2.17GHzRAM:1.25GB DDR400 SDRAM (3x512mb cards occupying all available slots).MOTHERBOARD:Gigabyte GA-7VA Rev. 1.0Graphics Card:ATI Radeon 9700 AGP, DVI output, 128Mb, Power Supply: 300WOperating System:Windows XP SP2Cheers,Nick
January 4, 200818 yr If I've read this correctly you want to run FSX and 4 Monitors!!Stick with FS9 and get a decent GPU with 512MB VRAM. (As your MB is AGP you'll need to get an nVidia 7900 or ATI X1950)To process that amount of screen real estate in FSX you WILL need a new Motherboard, CPU, RAM and Graphics card!! ie you will need to get a new system!RegardsJim
