The Buttkicker Gamer

I'm sure many of you are unaware this thing exists, or imo, what a great value it is for the price. Basicaly, it's a low frequency vibration transducer that clamps to the post of your desk chair. In games/sims it's adjusted to operate in the range of 10 to 40hz, which is below the range of most speakers. As an aside mention, it can be adjusted to work with movies or music. This thing is fantastic when used in a sim. You can feel the vibration of a piston engine in your entire body. Any low frequency sound like runway vibrations, gear and flap deployments, buffetting, rotor vibrations, and much more, are felt as though you're actualy sitting in the aircraft. It's the coolest thing since TrackIR. I use it in race sims and it's flat out awesome being able to feel the car and the track, and feeling it in your gut. I use it playing COD4 and explosions will scare the crap out of you at times. Weapons reverberate through your chest, nice effect 'cause I love the m60 and 249. Airstrikes take on a new meaning. The thing hooks up a few different ways, but it requires no hardware drivers or anything like that. It's basicaly installed inline with your audio cables. I use it inline with my xfi's subwoofer output. I game with a headset and the buttkicker fill's in the lows. People in the next room cant hear me, but I'm getting pounded by low frequency effects. It includes a 100watt amplifier, and the transducer. The transducer is a nice aluminum assembly that is well made. The cords are nice and long and everthing nesc is included. I paid 50usd for mine around a year ago and you can still find them around that price. Just thought some of you guys might be interested, and like me always looking for something to increase the realism. I like this a lot too. My one complaint: the fan in the amplifier is loud. I called the company, and this seems to be a widespread problem. After a week, I was pretty close to sending it back. Then I put it in a closet, which dampened the noise to an acceptable level. If you have a closet (or are just lucky and get a quiet unity) this is a good piece of kit.
