January 16, 200323 yr LOLDon't know that they'll have much luck marketing to museums. Museums rarely "buy" artifacts... they are looking for donations. Maybe someone with a high tax liability will buy the thing and then donate it to a museum for tax purposes. That kind of party might be hard to find given the state of the economy in the recent past.Am I mistaken, or were the sellers originally asking $100,000?
January 16, 200323 yr "Am I mistaken, or were the sellers originally asking $100,000?"I dunno. :) I remember last year I found the TU144 for sale the second it went up, I questioned the US based seller as I was very suspicious that it was a bogus sale, he offered to send me Russian documentation proving the authority he had to offer the plane, I should have had him send it as it might look cool mounted to my aviation wall!!!
