April 18, 200422 yr Bonjour :)When sitting on tarmac at San Francisco, fps shows 1-3 at night/dusk/dawn and pops up back to near 40 when it's daytime: lights are turned off and stars are gone... for the day.Daytime flight I get just about 40 fps all around even in low level flying or when buzzin airports inverted (-: When night falls, and I look at an airport, fps drops to when it turn into spf's (seconds per frame) :-eek Time compression perhaps? Time seems to be passing normally on aircraft clocks, relativly speaking eh. Can't notice anything unusual related to time, like UFO's going by or the rate of dusk/night setting in @-@I have no way of being certain nor of any ways to reset time compression/warp back to normal if my fps issue is of course time compress related.I know I've tried to reset it and found 3 time related commands... : a/A Speed ap/slow down (time acceleration) t/T Time speed up/slow downm/M Change time offset(warp) used by t/T forward/backward... wich I don't understand meanings very well. ( I'm mostly french :-smile12 )Many thanksQ!

It shouldn't be that muchslower, though. I suspect an OpenGL driver interaction; somethinglooks like it might be falling back to software (maybe for theGL_POINTS...). What kind of 3D hardware are you using, and do youhave the most recent drivers installed?Andy
April 19, 200422 yr HiMy current set up.Athlon XP 1900MSI KTA 133 Ultra boardGforce 3 TI 200ram / 768 megs DDR333HD: Maxtor Diamond Stealth ATA 133Joysticks : ThrustMaster/Top-Gun-Afterburner (no FFB but USB)XP pro serv pack 1DX9.0b53.93 NVidia drivers1024X768 refresh @ 85hzAll settings except 3D clouds are on in FG and @ 32 bppI tried to figure out this night fps problem on many occasions. I know fps shouldn't drop that much. When I look away from lights it pops up back to 42.There's also a time freeze command box in the advance settings in the FG's launch window, that didn't do it either. So, I guess you might be right about OpenGL. I had reset OpenGL settins to default with no effect.Thank you very muchQ!
