I am working as a research assistant in a perceptions lab. We are constructing a vection (feeling of self motion when stationary) flight simulator. Without getting into too much detail, for the flight simulator we need to have multiple views, i.e. one of the ground, one front view, one front-left, etc. and we need to record a SMOOTH flight, that can be saved so that we may have one consistent stimulus to present. Also, I need to be able to adjust the angles at which the Front, Front left and Front right views are postioned on both vertically and horizontally. Unfortunately I am a novice computer user, as this is an open source program I was hoping some knowledgable person could tell me if and how I might create this smooth running multi-viewed recording of a flight using Flight Gear program. I'm pretty sure that Curt, the FlightGear 'project manager', among others, is working on this sort of stuff - try posting a query on the FlightGear User mailing list.
