August 5, 200421 yr I'm just trying to use FlightGear for the first time, looks like a great program.Unfortunately so far it is not working on my IBM Thinkpad T41p laptop.I've tried setups downloaded a couple days ago as well as what appears to be a slightly different version posted today. Both give the same behavior: when I start the launcher program, it shows the Cessna 172 rotating, but before it rotates about 40 degrees, it crashes (with the usual MS error dialog asking if you want to send info to MS).I've updated the graphics drivers from ATI's site, and all Windows patches are installed (I'm using Windows XP Pro).Has anyone gotten Flightgear to work on this type of laptop, or have suggestions about how to diagnose the problem? Thanks in advance...- Henry
August 5, 200421 yr Some extra info on the crash from Microsoft's crash dialog:AppName: fgrun.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: atioglgl.dllModVer: 6.14.10.4397 Offset: 004a2c32So it looks like it might be a problem with the ATI driver?- Henry
