mac osx install and run

HI,I'm Daniele from italy,I'm now in holiday with my mac and I really want to try flight gear !!I use mac OSX panther,I've download from site the base package and I put my flightgear directory under my user directory.so I try many time to compile flightgear resource file ecc but nothing I've not understand how to run it.if it's possible it's better if someone send me a screenshot of directory in finder to see the correct path and relative compile file.I've also don't understand if after a better compile of the file I can start flightgear from his icon or I must run the mac osx application terminalthank you very much for every kind of help !!..and sorry for my english :-)byeDaniele
