Hello, can anybody tell about any ATC-options (planned) available in FG?

>Hello, can anybody tell about any ATC-options (planned)>available in FG?Currently ATIS is available as either voice or scrolling text, and some rudimentry tower control is available in text form. The tower control *should* attempt to avoid any runway conflicts between the user and any AI VFR traffic, but it is very much a work in progress. To talk to a tuned in tower press ' as in MSFS. Currently there is no autotuning in FG - you'll need to tune comm radios as in real life to get a response. Also note that all ATC (including ATIS) is off by default in 0.9.5 - you can switch it on in the ATC submenu. Also note that the voice is currently far too quiet compared to the engine noise in 0.9.5 (and on previous versions for some Linux users) and may be difficult to hear. There were no changes in the ATC system between 0.9.4 and 0.9.5 BTW (other than being switched off by default). As for what is planned - hopefully a full, comprehensive, intelligent ATC system, but don't ask for a timescale! Currently I'm mostly working on creating voice recordings for tower control, and creating a custom version of Audacity designed to make extra voices easier to create by users. Improvement of the tower control for VFR flights in also high on my list.In the longer term, hopefully IFR control including departure, centre and approach will get added. This is a big task though, and will probably take a few years for significant progress. Others are of course welcome to join in.Cheers - Dave

How about, instead of recoring 100's of sounds and then putting them together like in FS, using a text-to-speech engine? If you would use the default windows voice flying would of course become a comic hobby, but these things are pretty customizable and in the end you might come with something decent. Just a thought.
