Fetal Error: Failed to creat OpenGL context

Featured Replies

I instaled flight gear 0.9.6 on my computer but when I tried to run the fgrun I got a fetal error saying "sigInit called without a valid openGL context". I looked through the FAQ and saw that some had similer problems but not with WinXP. I went through command line and tried running fgfs and got the fallowing error: Fetal Error in fgfs: failed to creat openGL rendering context.Im running winXP Pro, SP2P4 3.2Gh1G RAMNVidia GeForceFX Go5700 (with latest drivers)Any clue as to what I need to do to get flying :(

Try changing the color depth to 24-bits or 32-bits. See if that helps.

No luck. I went through and removed the program and tried to re-install but still got the same error.

Make sure that you are not running any other application which requires OpenGL. For example, Matlab 6.5 prevents the creation of new OpenGL context. Make sure it is not running in the background.http://www.flipcode.org/cgi-bin/fcmsg.cgi?thread_show=9534If other OpenGL applications are not the cause of your problem, then you should start thinking about upgrading your graphic driver.http://www.cmake.org/Bug/bug.php?op=show&bugid=1162&pos=22
