hi,just tried installing flightgear v0.9.8.ran the launcher prog ok, then hit run and the screen came up with a pretty picure of a plane (like it was running) then after about 30 seconds it came up with a dialog with the error:The instruction at "ox052827b008" referenced memory at "0xbf880ce5". the memory could not be written.I also found a command prompt window with the following inFailed to find runway 28R at airport EGGPUnknown exception in the main loop. Aborting...Possible cause: No such file or directoryI should stress I had just installed teh scenery for britain area as well.

thanks for your help.unfortunatly, these didn't offer any help - most of the replies to that forum said 'dunno', and one suggested settign the page size to above 100. mine was already bigger than this.guess this is the joy of open source programs. frankly, I'm off back to microsoft flightsim - love the idea of battering microsoft, but no good if it don't work and there's no support!!
