A320 model amiss

Featured Replies

Hi FolksI tried the A320 model on the web-site, but it seems to be a glider when I open flightgear. Does anybody know where the real one is, or how I can convert an MSFS2002 model into flightgear?RegardsEtta

Also, there's no standard tool (or even way) to convert MS FS aircraft to FlightGear aircraft, usually you'll have to first convert the model and then assign a corresponding flight data model to your aircraft, you'll find plenty of information about this process within the FlightGear mailing list archives, also you'll probably want to subscribe to these mailing lists just in case that you really want develop something for or with FlightGear.

Hi Etta,as I had no problems until now with the A320 I re-downloaded the file from the FG webside (mirror1) filename A320_20050118.tgz, unzipped and installed it into dataaircraft. It works well as you can see from the following screenshots:nice outside-model, inside somehow spartanic but can be flown also by AP if you use the autopilot menu to set it (no mouse active panel for *this* model until now).Do you use the latest FG version 0.9.8?FG wizard shows under Flightmodel "jsb sim" - I am no expert for this and I don't know if anything bad happens if you changed this?I use FG 0.9.8, Win XP Home, FlightGear wizard (launcher)Would be nice to get feedback if it works for you anyhow. Thank you.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/125193.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/125194.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/125195.jpgBest regardsGeorg EDDW

The glider is what you get by default when there is a problem reading in an aircraft's configuration files. There must be a problem with one or more of these files. Perhaps the permissions are wrong, or a file(s) is not uncompressed, or file(s) in the wrong place?

The A320 is using some files from the 747. Download the 747 and your A320 should run fine.
