October 12, 200520 yr Ok, I've installed the program and set it to run, but once I've completed the plane and airport selection process, the following information appears before the program crashes:Failed to tie property/c-thrust[O] to a pointer.Audio initialization failed! Unknown exception in the main loop. Aborting...Possible cause: No errorThat first bit about failing to tie things properly is sometimes replaced by failure to locate runway.Anyone know what I ought to do? I'm a bit of a technical dunce, so treat me kindly!
October 15, 200520 yr >Audio initialization failed! Unknown exception in the main>loop. >Aborting...>Possible cause: No errorAborting with "No error" isn't fgfs' style. That's nowhere in the FlightGear code. Must be in one of the drivers, where the audio driver is a logical candidate. Can you make sure that you are using the newest drivers for your sound card? A newer version of OpenAL may help, too. >That first bit about failing to tie things properly is>sometimes replaced by failure to locate runway. Those aren't worrying and not the reason for your problem. That's just fgfs' routine whining at startup.
