Not sure if anyone here can help but i cant get FG to run. As soon as I try I get an error "Driver Component sizes mis-match" it wont go on after that. Any thoughts???? Thanks.

Please list your hardware and software specifications, as well as the version of FlightGear which you are trying to run.

You need to provide more information in order to enable us to help you:>>Please list your hardware and software specifications, as>>well as the version of FlightGear which you are trying to>>run.>>>Its Flightgear 0.9.9.>>Celeron 2.4 >768MB>I think the Video card is Winfast A250LE 64MB.Do you know whether your video card supports OpenGL (FlightGear REQURIES a 3D hardware accelerator card with adequate OpenGL support)? Were you able to run any of the previous versions of FlightGear on that system (if so, which ones)? Are you able to run any other 3D (OpenGL!) applications on that system? How exactly are you trying to start FlightGear, do you use a shell/terminal or do you use a graphical launcher such as fgrun or FGTools? If you are using a graphical launcher:a) did you modify any of the default settings?:( what settings are you using?c) have you tried running FlightGear without any modifications to the default settings?

also, you might want to list your OS.

Not an expert on the video card but havent had a problem running anything in the past.(I will check if there is a new driver for it though)This is the first version of FlightGear I have tried.Just clicking the icon that appeared after installation to start it.I dont think I have changed any settings.Running XP.

I mean, are you on some sort of broadband connection so that you can easily download a different program like X-Plane to ensure that OpenGL support is working properly for your system?I did a quick check on google and the card you mentioned should have a GeForce/Nvidia chipset, if that's true and you do have this card, then it should actually be quite suitable for use with FlightGear, or any OpenGL application for this matter. On the other hand, the card itself seems to be 4-5 years old(?), so any weird behaviour MIGHT be related to new/unsupported OpenGL features. In that case you might want to try to disable some of the more advanced rendering options, but first you will want to ensure that other OpenGL software works properly.

Hi,it might be due to my bad English knowledge as I am no natural speaker but I don't understand what you clicked on.Please make sure that you fire FlightGear under Windows with the "Wizard" (fgrun.exe).You find it at[YourFlightGear]binwin32fgrun.exeIf you did so, please ensure you have set all pathes on page 1 of FlightGEar Wizard (fgrun) and don't make any changes of the default parameters until you tested running FlightGear positive the first time. The Linux people mean [YourFlightGear]data if they reference to FG_ROOT!RegardsGeorg EDDW

Reinstalled the video driver and its all working. Thanks for the help. Now just have to get off the ground!!!!
