Hello, I

Hi,I would think1.>>> - Got the airplane selection screen. Got the default plane (F-16);You are running FG with fgrun.exe GUI tool2.>>> rest of the screen is somewhat blue/grayYou did not select the right scenery path in fgrun (first page). The path to the *default scenery* should be something like that right to FG_Scenery in fgrun, page 1:C:/MyFlightGear99/data/SceneryORH:/MyFlightGear99/data/SceneryIf it does not work, give us a screenshot of this pageRegardsGeorg EDDW

I've just had a go at installing Flight gear, and have come up with pretty much the same problem. I have the S3 Unichrome IGS OpenGL driver, in my case in integrated graphics in a VIA KM400A chipset motherboard. (OS is XP SP2) Running from the "Flight gear wizard". The command line it says it is going to use is shown here:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/135503.gifThe scenery paths look "sensible" to me.On running it, it is as apeine describes - It all seems to work fine except no scenery. (You can even take off and fly around if you you enjoy 0.00 feet visibility. (Needless to say I crashed.))From the dos box that actually runs it, I get:---------------------------------------------------------------------opening file: D:/Program Files/FlightGear/data/Navaids/carrier_nav.datD:/Program Files/FlightGear/data/Navaids/TACAN_freq.datError: RenderTexture requires the following unsupported OpenGL extensions:WGL_ARB_extensions_stringInitialising callsign using 'Aircraft/c172p/Models/c172p.xml'Initializing Nasal Electrical System----------------------------------------------------------------------On considering the most obvious problem, I found a site that suggested (I make no definite claims as to its authority - it was documenting OpenGL on delphi) that the Open GL driver in question does not support any WGL_ARB extensions. Is this a show stopper ? (oh, and yes, I had a look on the VIA site for updated drivers - their best down load seemed OLDER than the one I have, if I deciphered the versions correctly !)Any help appreciated,John

>Then I ran Flightgear, and it goes like this:>- Got the airplane selection screen. Got the default plane>(F-16);The f16 is *not* the default aircraft. That's the c172p.>- Got the standard place (Oakland Airport);Oakland (KOAK) is *not* the default airport. That's San Francisco (KSFO).> All commands work, but I don
