Can't seem to find the glidepath readout on the Citation-Bravo instrument panel. Does anyone knowif there is one and if so, where do I look?Tom

>Can't seem to find the glidepath readout on the >Citation-Bravo instrument panel. Does anyone know>if there is one and if so, where do I look? Please note that it is generally a good idea to provide a maximum amount of possibly relevant information when you want to enable people to help you. Thus, in this case you should have minimally mentioned what version of FG you are using and which cockpit panel.Additionally, it might be relevant to tell us whether you are familiar with radio navigation equipment in general, as well as familiar with using radio navigation equipment in FlightGear in particular. This mainly to enable us to make an informed guess as to what may be the cause of your problems, i.e. theoretically it would be very well possible that a user does not know how to set up the radios and tune in the proper (ILS) frequencies or where to look for the glidepath info, of course such issues may be extremely hard to track down if the corresponding user fails to acknowledge such facts. So, what instrument did you check for the glidepath and was it set up properly? Likewise, even if you are familiar with FlightGear, you need to make sure that you are actually tuning in a frequency of a navaid that does in fact provide vertical guidance (i.e. not only a localizer). Apart from that you might also want to make sure that you are actually within range of the corresponding navaid (i.e. by checking its morse ID, either aurally or using the property tree). So you see, there's a whole variety of potential problem sources and you should first make sure to carefully describe the problem in order to enable us to provide competent support. And finally, there's of course also the possibility that the corresponding aircraft is still under active development and does not yet feature the functionality you are looking for.

Thanks for you comprehensive and thoughtful response.Using FG 9.9 and KSFO ILS which, as you probably know, includesthe glidepath signal. Other aircraft (Cessna 310, 737, Beech 99)clearly display the glidpath indicator. However, the Citation-Bravo,while responding to the autopilot functions (including glidepath)does not appear to display a visual glidepath indicator. I believethe instrument is a Primus-1000. I am familiar with capturing the glideslope signal with the aboveaircraft and perhaps am not recognizing the GS needle or bar inthe Citation-Bravo. I don't believe this is system dependent. Tom

>Using FG 9.9 and KSFO ILS which, as you probably know,>includes the glidepath signal.Yes, but so far you didn't yet mention which airport/runway you were trying to use :)>Other aircraft (Cessna 310, 737, Beech 99)>clearly display the glidpath indicator.Okay, so that would have been my next question.>However, the Citation-Bravo,>while responding to the autopilot functions (including>glidepath)>does not appear to display a visual glidepath indicator.>I believe the instrument is a Primus-1000.Okay, so you are referring to the 3D cockpit panel?I assume, switching during approach to the 2D panel shows the LLZ as well as the GS?>I am familiar with capturing the glideslope signal with the>above>aircraft and perhaps am not recognizing the GS needle or bar>in the Citation-Bravo. I don't believe this is system dependent. So, but you DO get lateral guidance/ a localizer signal displayed on the EHSI? Have you actually checked the property tree (browser) for /instrumentation/nav[0] ?
