Hallo everyone.. just been finishing downloading tonight at 5:00am,just couldn't wait to run my very first flight simulator...Wonder, i was looking for an R/C Heli Flight Simulator.. and i found Glight Gear.. wow!!My best issue, by now, is that my Italian keyboard's missingsome major needed keys... I can't phisically find the key for Ignition ( which should be some "-" sign).. and some others. Can i someway define keyboard keys for myself?Tahnk You!!

Don't you have a numeric keypad either?

- weird Forum this one, i'm much accustomed to PhBB ones.. -Well, mY Italian kbd has all of standard features, including a numpad..the weird thing is that I can't just figure out what kinda sign is "that strange kind of curvy minus sign used to "select all engines" on the Eurocopter Bo105 simulation".You say it's a standard minus sign, well I've become mad and pushed any similar sign.. Machine still remained silent. :(

Machine still remained silent. :(As a start, have you actually tried using any of the other (fixed wing) aircraft? For example, the c172p would seem like an excellent start simply because it is the default aircraft and it is supposed and known to work on a variety of platforms. So it is definitely a good idea, to first make sure that the defaults are working properly. Apart from that helicopter simulation is still not very advanced in FlightGear anyway, so if that's your major motivation you may be a bit disappointed by the lack of realism.

Well, actually i was flying the Cessna Citation from Cisco Int'l to Miami, or at least i was trying to, getting coordinates from Google Earth; i ended miserably as being food for fish.. Yep, on fixed wings nearly enything seems working proprely( ecxept for the A-10, it just won't takeoff, seems heavier than a whale...)It's a pity about helicopters, imagine I was going to askwheter somebody will ever develop an Aereospatiale Gazelle-basedBlue Thunder 02.. :(

So, if it's just the 3D model you are mainly interested in, there are various free modelling sites on the internet where you may download public domain 3D models for private use. Also, while the FDMs for most helicopters are not yet particularly realistic, you may be able to tweak the FDM specs for each individual aircraft and each individual phase of flight manually, so that the majority of cases should be covered.Additionally, if you are interested in aircraft development, you may want to consider subscribing to the FlightGear mailing list for exchange with other aircraft developers.

NO WAY. I'm becoming mad at all on this, on turning on the turbineson the EuroCopter.I may be too stupid, but please, PLEASE HELP ME!!!the thing should work like "select all engines", "get throttle to about 25%", "Fire selected engines", right? do i forget anything?Well, since i couldn't find related keys on my keyboard I tried modyfing the command strings for "select all engines" and "start/shutdown turbines".. but seems i'm not that capable.Would any of you kind guys be so gentle, write me here the exact strings to copy in the keyboard.xml and in the bo105-set.xml to have such commands on other keys?thank You in advance!!! :)
