Installed FlightGear on a Windows XP system and I'm getting about .5 FPS, even on 640x480 settings. This is a dual-core 3800+ AMD system, 1 GB RAM, and a GeForce 6800GS, so it's inconceivable that it should be this slow. Something must be amiss, any ideas?

Something must be>amiss, any ideas?Not sure if this issue still persists, but if it does you might want to make sure that other *OpenGL* (NOT DirectX!) software works properly on your system. Also, it is important to provide a full set of the startup parameters you are using with FlightGear, so that we can see what sort of settings you are using. Likewise, it would be important to post any console warnings or even error messages that might occur.

If you're using an Nvidia video card try turning the enhanced runway lighting off.
