issue with CH Figherstick USB on Linux

I already tried the flightgear IRC channel - they suggested me to contact the plib people. so I posted the issue to the plib-users list, but no reply.as for my OS: it does say in the title that I'm having the problem under Linux, though you're right, no distribution is given. I'm using Gentoo Linux, and kernel 2.6.13.of course I'd be happy to provide any additional information if needed...
