errors making SImGear

Featured Replies

Hallo, I am using cygwin, openall and plib to install the SimGear. Everything is working correctly and the directories are the same as in the cygwin tutorial. I can do make and install for plib and openall and also for zlib, but still the simGear has errors during make. On of the errors is: In file included from ../simgear/sound/soundmgr_openal.hxx:50, from visual_enviro.cxx;33://fg-0.9.9/include/AL/alc.h:39: error: syntax error before '*' token//fg-0.9.9/include/AL/alc.h:51: error: 'ALCcontext' was not declared in this scope. Is it any special library that I need to install for SIMGear 9?something special? Are there any turorials for installing version 9?thank you.

What version of OpenAL have you installed?Did you compile OpenAL yourself, or did you install a pre-compiled binary? Also, as you are compiling FG from source, you should consider discussing any issues on the developer's mailing list:http://www.flightgear.org/mail.html

Because it seems to>me that i'v got the samme error. >Thx for your help ...As the original poster doesn't seem to be interested in getting back to us, you may alternatively consider to provide some information about your setup (platform, OS, FG version, startup/runtime parameters etc.) in order to enable us to provide some support anyway.(Feel free to check out the FG wiki for a list of items that may are usually helpful when posting bug reports)http://wiki.flightgear.org/flightgear_wiki...ooting_Problems
