I downloaded all the land parcels for the US, and copied and pasted them from my documents (that's where firefox always puts my stuff) to C:Program FilesFlightGearscenery. When I go to test it out, I only get to the edge of the default San Francisco area package before I see a drop-off into open ocean, meaning that area is "not downloaded," when it should be. Where did I screw up?

Where did I screw up?You must unzip the downloaded file in the scenery directory. Then the original file can be deleted.

Also, I think the FG_SCENERY directory is set to FlightGeardataScenery by default, so you will either have to unzip the scenery you downloaded to there or change the FG_SCENERY directory to FlightGearscenery.

Ah, ok. Lets see if that works...
