fgfs will not execute error

So I then fired up the laptop and loaded the fgfs from synaptic the same error occured.This was devestating as I had just purchased a new logitec js and was ready to try to load a new aircraft (jet)and fly Baby fly. does anyone know what my problem is. any help greatly appreciated loudog

yes, quite frankly, it seems you are already told what happend: an assertion failed, and that's something that normally shouldn't happen at all. In general, you'll want to ensure that your OpenGL drivers are set up properly, and preferably also that you are running the latest version available. Apart from that, you may want to make sure that other OpenGL software works properly for your system/OS with the current setup.In general however, it is basically impossible to help you properly if you don't provide some basic background information about your platform's setup, configuration etc.If you really don't know what sort of information is usually required in order to enable other people to try to help you, you may want to check out the troubleshooting at http://wiki.flightgear.org
